XJS CORROSION PROBLEMS





Does your car suffer from rust around the windsreen chromes, what might appear to be small patch of rust can quiet easily develop into something more substantial, as the following images show.

Note the extent of the corrosion once the trim and screen are removed.

The only way to solve the problem is to grind out or grit blast the rust, cut out the severe corrosion and replace with new metal.

Another common problem area is the front jacking point and toe board section.
A lot of this rust and corrosion was hidden away behind what looked like perfectly sound underbody protection.

Once again the corroded area must be removed.

New panels for this area are available, and these are used along with our own fabricated sections. Once the welding is complete the area will be cleaned and primed, sealer applied and new underbody coating including waxoyl will be applied.

Another corrosion problem is the rear wheel arches which seems to appear wherever Jaguar applied sealer, as in this case.

And yet again the only way to correct this problem is to remove the offending section. Rust left to its own devices will slowly destroy your treasured possesion.
